Formed back in 2008 these local Nottingham boys have captured the hearts of fans all over the world, having taken Nottingham by storm with their beautiful harmonies almost instantly after forming; they suddenly became the focus of some well deserved media hype. A string of awesome EP’s and excellent singles later (with the reviews to match) all has been leading up to Dog Is Dead releasing their eagerly awaited debut album ‘All Out Favourite Stories’ which came out today! (October 8th)
Local boys and fan favourites hit the big stage in Rock City’s main hall. Having self released 3 singles ‘Gloeckenspiel song’ (which Kissy Sellout remixed for radio 1 after hearing it) ‘Young’ and ‘River Jordan’ which was released in February 2011.
Dog Is Dead are already on their way, having earned a great following, glowing reviews from NME, The Guardian and the like, as well as drawing some big enthusiastic crowds at festivals such as Splendour, Dot-to-Dot & Summer Sundae. They even earned themselves some coverage at Glastonbury 2010 on BBC2. They also featured on the TV show Skins in a final episode of the season which leaves them following in the footsteps of bands such as Foals and Crystals Castles.
