Tokky Horror is a one-of-a-kind punk collective that was formed during the pandemic by musicians from Bristol, Birkenhead, and Leeds. Despite not having met each other in person, they were able to come together and create music by exchanging demos online, leading to the creation of their tongue-in-cheek genre “virtual hardcore.”
Their sound is a dynamic fusion of thrash riffs and old-school jungle breakbeats. With dual vocals from Mollie Rush and Ava Akira enhances the energy and power of their music. With official remixes for well-known artists like Wargasm, Courting, The Subways, and She Drew the Gun, Tokky Horror has proven that they can thrive in both rock and rave scenes.
Enter Shikari, recognized their talent and chose them to support them on their Music Venue Trust show. This decision was made to “challenge their own audience”. Tokky Horror has also shared the stage with prominent artists like Turnstille, Lynks, Scalping, and Girli, solidifying their place in the music industry.
Overall Tokky Horror is a unique and innovative band that has made a name for themselves in the music industry! They have a dynamic sound and genre-defying style. The band’s formation during the pandemic showcases their ability to adapt and create in trying times, making them a must-see live act.
