The easter Punk Festival tour is coming to Rock City’s Basement.

Featuring the smashing punk  and Oi! bands – Angelic Upstarts, Sham 69 & Crashed Out

Angelic Upstarts are a Engish Punk/Oi! Band from South Shields formed in 1977. Between 1977-81 they had a string of chart hits. Their debut single ‘The Murder Of Liddle Towers’ is considered one of the great british punk songs.

Sham 69 are another English Punk/Oi! band formed in 1976 in Hersham. Their name derives from a piece of graffiti that originally said Walton & Hersham ’69 – referring to the football club who won the title in 1969. They had their biggest hit in 1979 with ‘Hersham Boys’ peaking at 6 in the charts.
