Against Me! are a long standing rock/punk band from Florida, USA. They will be playing in our sister venue Rescue Rooms.
They released their first album ‘Against Me! Reinvent Axl Rose’ in 2002. Their second ‘Against Me! As the Eternal Cowboy’ (2003) started gaining them a larger following and their third album ‘Searching for a Former Clarity’ (2005) was met with mainstream critical acclaim and along with relentless touring the album landed them their first major record label. ‘New Wave’ was released on Sire records in 2007.
They are currently still touring across the world with their most recent album ‘White Crosses’ which was released in 2010.
Since the humble beginnings back in 1997 Against Me! have played over 2,000 shows worldwide (and every state in the U.S) traveling to Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Iceland, Ireland, U.K, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania.
They are a well established and well respected band in teh alternative community and have toured with bands such as The Foo Fighters, Green Day, The Pogues, Jimmy Eat World, NOFX, Mastodon, Cursive, Rise Against, The Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Billy Talent, Silversun Pickups, Alkaline Trio, The Blood Brothers, Social Distortion as well as making appearances at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, The Warped Tour, Reading & Leeds and Pukkelpop.
