Airbourneis a hard rock band hailing from Warrnambool in regional Victoria,Australia. Formed in 2003 by brothers Joel and Ryan O’Keeffe, the band has carvedout a distinctive niche in the rock music scene with their high-energy performancesand no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll sound. The line-up is rounded out by Justin Street onbass and backing vocals, and Jarrad Morrice on rhythm guitar.2007 saw band punch into the scene with the debut album,Runnin’ Wild, havingbeen certified Silver in the UK, and charted in the top 30 of the ARIA Albums charts,appeared on the US Billboard 200; UK, France, Austria, and Switzerland Albumschart. Their second album,No Guts. No Glory.came out in March 2010 andreached top 20 in Australia, Austria, New Zealand, Finland, Greece, Sweden, andSwitzerland, as well as going in at #31 in the UK and Top 100 of the US Billboard200. Continuing their legendary impact, the third studio album,Black Dog Barking(2013) and peaked at #17 in Australia and came in top 20 in Austria, Finland,Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland, as well as top 100 in the UK,Spain, Norway, and France. In October 2016, Airbourne released their fourth album,Breakin’ Outta Hell, which peaked top 5 in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland; #9 inthe UK; and top 20in Australia.
With a solid rockin’ catalogue of albums, Airbourne solidified their reputation as aforce to be reckoned with in the rock world, earning them commercial success with acritical acclaim nomination for “Album of the Year” at the Classic RockRoll ofHonour Awards.Known for their explosive live shows, Airbourne has earned a loyal following globally,having played an estimated 1100+ shows since the formation of the band, includingmultiple appearances at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Wacken,Download, Hellfest, Rock am Ring, and Rock im Park.
