BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB CELEBRATE TEN YEARS OF DEBUT ALBUM ‘I HAD THE BLUES BUT I SHOOK THEM LOOSE!’ WITH RARE DEMOS EP + UK LIVE DATES

“DEMOS 2004-2008” EP IS+ TICKETS NOW ON FAN PRESALE

THE BAND HEADLINE WILDERNESS FESTIVAL ON 2ND AUGUST

Bombay Bicycle Club are excited to share a new ep of rare, early demo recordings in celebration of ten years since the release of their debut album, ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’, and five new live dates in November where they will perform the album in full.

To coincide with the album’s release ten years today (3rd July), the seven track EP ‘Demos 2004-2008’ is streaming now, and features material that didn’t originally make the cut for the album. Delving deep into the vaults of archive material, only one of the tracks, ‘Ode To Lucy’, will already be familiar to long-standing fans having featured in a BBC Radio 1 live session back in 2009 on Zane Lowe’s show, whilst some snippets of other EP tracks will be familiar as assorted parts of other songs that did feature on the original record. It’s an intriguing glimpse of the band finding their feet in their infancy, and signals another timely step in their return to the spotlight after a lengthy period of inactivity.

In further celebration of those ten years, Bombay Bicycle Club will hit the road in November to bring ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose!’ to UK stages in full for five shows. The short celebratory run kicks off in Liverpool on the 4th November at the Eventim Olympia and concludes at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on the 8th November, also taking in Dundee, Nottingham, and Bath. Support comes from Gengahr. Tickets are on special fan pre-sale now and general sale from Friday 5th July at 10:00am via the Dice App. Visit www.bombaybicycle.club for further ticket details.

Earlier this year, the British four-piece signalled their return to the studio following a four year hiatus with a message to their fans on social media, and announced a slew of live dates. The dates included a headline set at Wilderness Festival in August, two shows in Ireland, and a spate of North American tour dates in September and concluding with two shows at Brooklyn Steel in early October. The UK/Irish festival dates will be pre-empted by two smaller club warm-up shows in Sheffield and Cambridge that sold out instantly.

Bombay Bicycle Club released their fourth album ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’ in February 2014. It debuted at number 1 in the UK albums chart. Their final live show was the last live performance at London’s Earls Court.
