The Gang’s All Here:
The legendary rockers are entering a new era with not only a new album, a new single and a world tour… but also a new voice! The band are now welcoming powerhouse vocalist Erik Gronwall, formerly of H.E.A.T from Sweden. The change in line-up was revealed in March 2022 just before their first show together in Last Vegas. The band have also released their new single ‘The Gang’s All Here’, the first to feature Gronwall, which is the title track from their upcoming album.
A New Singer?
Skid Row were touring Europe in 2018 with Gronwall’s previous band H.E.A.T, as bassist Rachel Bolan remembers: “We’d hear him every night from the dressing room, and a couple of times, I was, like, ‘Man, listen to this guy sing. He’s phenomenal…” The situation with their singer at the time ZP Theart was playing on her mind. “Then I went behind the monitor board a couple of times… I’m like, ‘Wow, when Skid Row has some downtime, I’m gonna get in touch with this dude and start a side project with him.’ … As time went on and we got to the point to where we were with ZP and stuff … I told Snake, ‘We’ve got to check this guy out.’”
So, they sent Gronwall some songs to try him out: “It came back about 24 hours later, and we were like, ‘All right, he’s the guy. Get him on a plane. Let’s do this.’”
But they were still split between the USA and Sweden. They created their new album ‘The Gang’s All Here’ by sending things back and forth to Gronwall, and in fact they didn’t meet in person until 4 days before their very first show together, in Las Vegas!
