The Acacia Strain are an American grindcore/deathcore band hailing from Massachusetts however they dislike the use of genre labels and refer to their music as just ‘heavy’.
They formed in 2001 and have released 5 studio albums, the last two; Continent (2008) and Wormwood (2010) both reached the billboard top 200.
This year they have just played all the dates for the Vans Warped tour 2011 which can only mean that they will carry on and only get bigger.
On their website they talk about how the band undoubtedly embody anger and Wormwood, their most recent full lengths vibe is more ferocious than ever.
