Tickets are now available to see theory at Rock City!
Hard rock band Theory (also known as Theory Of A Deadman or TOAD) formed in Canada, 1999. The genres of country and acoustic make brief appearances in their sound also.
Lead vocalist/guitarist Tyler Connolly started the band with bassist Dean Back. Interestingly, they were the first band to actually sign with Chad Kroeger’s (Nickelback) 604 Records. Their debut album went by the same name as their own ‘Theory Of A Deadman’, released in September 2002. Not long after in 2006 the album was declared platinum and placed in the top 100 on the US rock chart, then number 8 on the Canadian rock chart.
The bands highly anticipated new album ‘Dinosaur’ set to release on March 14th (2023) was recorded in a new way. They travelled to Sweden for part of the production, in a way to distance themselves from management, label reps and other noise. They even turned down a studio in New York because they didn’t want any interruptions as they delved into their writing journey.
