Tyketto + Warrior Soul + Collateral – Live at Rock City, Nottingham
DHP Presents brings a triple bill of high-energy hard rock to Rock City on Thursday 23 April 2026, as Tyketto headline with very special guests Warrior Soul and Collateral. For fans of classic melodic rock, big hooks and loud guitars, this one’s a proper date-in-the-diary.
Tyketto – Melodic hard rock cult heroes
Formed in New York City in 1987, Tyketto quickly became cult favourites on the late-80s/early-90s hard rock scene. Fronted by Danny Vaughn, their sound blends AOR, hard rock and glam metal with huge choruses and a positive, uplifting edge.
Their debut album Don’t Come Easy (1991) is widely regarded as a melodic rock gem, with opener “Forever Young” often cited as a generation-defining anthem – the kind of track that should have made them massive if grunge hadn’t crashed the party.
Over the years they’ve released fan-favourite records like Strength in Numbers, Dig In Deep and Reach, proving the band still write the kind of songs that stick with you – big melodies, heartfelt lyrics and that classic late-80s feel with modern punch.
Onstage, Tyketto have a serious reputation: tight band, huge vocals, and sets that lean into both nostalgia and the energy of a band that’s very much still alive and kicking on the live circuit. Recent tours and reviews keep hammering the same point home – this is a group who still deliver
Warrior Soul – Politically charged hard rock
Warrior Soul bring a harder, more confrontational edge to the bill. Formed in New York City and led by fiery frontman Kory Clarke, the band mix hard rock, art-rock and alternative metal with outspoken, politically charged lyrics they’ve described as “acid punk”.
With classic albums like Last Decade Dead Century, Drugs, God and the New Republic and Salutations from the Ghetto Nation, Warrior Soul carved out a reputation as one of the more fearless voices of the early-90s heavy scene – and they’ve kept that attitude alive across later records such as Stiff Middle Finger and Out On Bail.
Live, expect groove-driven riffs, snarling vocals and a set packed with cult favourites and deep cuts for long-time fans.
Collateral – New wave of classic rock
Opening the night are Collateral, a high-energy British rock band from Kent flying the flag for the new wave of classic rock. Formed in 2014, they mix stadium-sized choruses, country-rock touches and big, glossy hooks – think Bon Jovi and classic US radio rock filtered through a modern UK band.
Their reputation has been building fast through festival slots and headline shows, with reviewers praising their melodic hard rock sound, big harmonies and charismatic frontman.
A night built for Rock City
This is a bill that sits perfectly in Rock City’s wheelhouse:
-
Melodic hard rock anthems from Tyketto
-
Fierce, politically charged heaviness from Warrior Soul
-
Modern, hook-laden classic rock from Collateral
If you grew up on late-80s/early-90s hard rock or you’ve fallen in love with the new wave of classic rock bands, this show is going to tick a lot of boxes.
