Indiana joins the bill at Splendour

Splendour organisers have announced an exciting change to Nottingham’s favourite family festival at Wollaton Park on July 18. With Jess Glynne out of action as she recovers from surgery on her vocal cords, DHP Family has turned to Nottingham’s own rising star Indiana to save the day.

Already booked to play several major festivals this summer and on the back of her recent Glastonbury set, Indiana is sure to be warmly received by her hometown crowd at Splendour.

The 20,000 strong audience can expect to hear hits such as Solo Dancing, one of the singles from her top 20 critically acclaimed album, No Romeo. It’s full circle for the Long Eaton singer who first came to the public’s attention after she took part in Splendour’s Future Sound of Nottingham in 2012.

George Akins, DHP Family, said: “Sadly Jess Glynne has confirmed that due to throat surgery she will be unable to perform at the 2015 Splendour Festival. We wish her all the best for a speedy recovery and she will be much missed at Splendour, however we are delighted to announce that Nottingham’s very own star Indiana will be stepping into the breach to entertain what is certain to be a huge crowd. We can’t wait to see her on the main stage where she truly belongs.”

Indiana is a fitting addition to this year’s Splendour line up – which has a notable history for showcasing the hottest local talent – following her major steps forward to national prominence with a huge show at Rock City earlier this year.

Full set times will be released next week with Indiana taking to the main stage before pop band Lawson, indie rockers James and two-tone legends The Specials who will bring the Festival to a close, while over on the Confetti Stage queens of pop Bananarama will be headlining.

Indiana said: “I played the Splendour main stage two years ago whilst I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter as my son watched from the crowd. My live shows have become bigger and better since then and I’m so excited to share that with Nottingham again on its biggest stage possible! Nothing better than a hometown crowd…and both of my children can watch this time!”

Tickets for Splendour start at just £22. To get the latest line-up announcements and festival updates go to www.splendourfestival.com or like www.facebook.com/splendourfestivalUK or follow @splendourfest
