The mighty Pitchshifter have decided to cancel their upcoming 2022 tour ??
They were due to join us at Rock City on 3rd December 2022, after rescheduling from the original date of 3rd December 2021. Refunds will be available from your ticket provider. The guys have given us a statement to share:
“Due to circumstances beyond our collective control, the team behind Pitchshifter’s upcoming English tour have come to the inexorable conclusion that it’s not possible in 2022. We went back and forth on next steps, but decided that, instead of continually rescheduling the shows (as myriad bands seem to be doing), it’s the most fair thing for the Pitchshifter community if we cancel at this time. That way, your money isn’t tied up in a tour that get pushed back another however many times if a new wave of the zombie apocalypse destroys what’s left of the Earth.
Although this turn of events obviously SUCKS GIANT BALLS (we were looking forward to hanging out with you deviant scoundrels another time before the remainder of our teeth fell out), we promise that we’ll reexamine descending from our mountain-top cryo chambers once again when the madness has really come to an end. Until then, we’ll keep working on cool projects like getting “Deviant” on vinyl, and the next installment of JS’s tour diary book.
Thanks to everyone in the Pitchshifter community for their much-appreciated support and understanding. Although this band of misfits has weathered the madness for 33 years (can you believe it?), we still feel like there are a few people left in hiding that we haven’t had the chance to annoy yet, and so we’ll be back when the dust settles.
